There is a new set of Apexis Crystal quests from your Tanaan Jungle hub. These quests reward 0 Apexis Crystal each, and you can also do Apexis quests in your garrison.

Different areas in Tanaan Jungle trigger bonus objectives, which reward Apexis Crystals.

Your rate of acquiring Apexis Crystals is greatly increased during Apexis Bonus Event with the Sign of Apexis buff.

The daily group quest Unseen Influence rewards 0 Apexis Crystal.

Killing Fangrila bosses grants the King of the Jungle buff.

Solar Priest Varyx, a special Order of the Awakened follower, has the unique Apexis Attenuation ability to increase the amount of Apexis Crystals gained from a mission by 100%.

All previous Apexis Gear now costs gold.

Killing Supreme Lord Kazzak awards 0 Apexis Crystal.

A new vendor in your Tanaan Jungle faction hub sells Baleful Gear Tokens for 0 Apexis Crystal each (weapons are 10k each). These tokens create a suitable ilvl 650 item, with a small chance it will be ilvl 675, for your spec with your best primary stat and two randomly-selected secondary stats. Do not get these confused with Baleful tokens from Shipyard rewards--those are Bind on Account, while Tanaan versions are not.

Several vanity items that require Order of the Awakened reputation take Apexis Crystals.

The Liberation of Shattrath is a level 100 rare mission and takes 3 followers. You can increase your chance of success by assigning followers that counter Wild Aggression, Deadly Minions, and Magic Debuff.

As this is a rare mission, do not rely on it as a regular source of crystals.

When the Command table daily is complete, two more Hand of the Prophet/Vol'jin's Headhunters dailies open up. Pressing the Attack will always be up and awards 0 Apexis Crystal for completing two Bonus Areas (which in turn grant 0 Apexis Crystal as explained above). The other daily is random but will always award 0 Apexis Crystal.

Order of the Awakened has the daily quest Unseen Influence which awards 0 Apexis Crystal. This requires players to loot 10 Fel-Corrupted Apexis Fragment from treasures chests and rares in Tanaan.

Draenor's Secret Power requires you to obtain 6 Apexis Crystal.

These Crystals are gone from your character permanently once you turn in the quest.

You are required to complete Draenor's Secret Power in addition to Core of Life, Core of Iron, and Core of Flame to proceed with the legendary questline.

If you want to minimize your time raiding, you can complete Legacy of the Sorcerer Kings in 5 weeks solely with Abrogator Arbitrator, requiring a total of 0 Apexis Crystal.

If you want to minimize your time raiding, you can complete Legacy of the Sorcerer Kings in 12 weeks solely with Work Work Stoppage, requiring a total of 0 Apexis Crystal.

Great guide overall. Just wanted to say the Mosshide Riverwallow is 50k gold, not 5k. Also you missed the Alliance side faction Shatari Defense pet Sky Fry, which was hotfixed recently as they were selling a BC pet earlier.

Some secondary stats on the Apexis Crystal gear arent the best for some classes

All pieces have either Haste/Versatility which isnt desireable for a Destruction Lock (my main)

The pieces are fine for a place to start but I wont be spending >9k apexis crystals to upgrade them with the current secondary stats

I hope Apexis Crystals are worked upon in the next content patch because right now they are just gathering dust in my currency pool because there is absolutely nothing I want that uses them.

There's an Alliance tag next to the Steamwheedle Elixir item. It should be available to both factions.

I feel like these are mostly useless for gear. The gear seems too expensive. And the fact that you need this currency plus gold for the mounts irks me a little.

Looking to keep under cap?

After buying all the mounts, mini pets, transmog gear, and followers the best way is to buy the 3k Apexis cloaks and bracers from Dawn-Seeker Verroak or Dawn-Seeker Verroak and DE them.

There is another source of Apexis was added in 6.1. The Mage Tower/Spirit Lodge has work orders now. You can turn Ogre Waystones into Apexis Crystals.

The second line of the Legendary Quests section links to the wrong quest. It should be Might of the Elemental Lords, for getting Elemental Rune toward making Elemental Tablet.

I have recently returned to WoW (It is Sept 2020). I have over 100,000 Apexis Crystals remaining. I have been reading the guides and comments but I am not entirely sure what is the best path forward for spending this currency. The guides were all last updated more than a few years ago. Since then, the legendary quest has been removed. The items for sale now require hefty gold along with apexis crystal. I am approaching 120 and it seems like the gear I could purchase will be quickly thrown away.

I am wondering if there are other people in the same position. What did you spend your crystals on? Is there a clear winner for spending that helps in Shadowlands?
